Ashley de la rosa…
does not identify as “a theater kid”. she began her career at the age of four doing voice over work in Nickelodeon’s “Dora The Explorer”. She moved from her birthplace of New york to Florida with her family and began taking voice lessons at age six. she wrote her first song at age seven and continued writing and recording music in her bedroom and gigging locally. during her senior year of high school Ashley made it to the top 12 of NBC’s “The Voice” as one of the youngest contestants on the show at the time, and met her first mentor, christina aguilera. it was not until Ashley was 21 years old that she decided to pursue theater professionally.
Ashley began her professional theater career with the 20th Anniversary National Tour of “RENT”, then continued on to the National Tour of “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical”. She made her broadway debut with “Mean Girls The Musical” and less than a year later became part of the broadway closing company of “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical”. She then went on to play Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds in “Hamilton: An American Musical” before transitioning into television. She will be starring in the broadway premiere of “buena vista social club” in 2025. You can see her as Sienna in “Dear Edward” on Apple TV+ and Natalie in season 3 of “The Other Two” on HBO.
it wasn’t until 2022 when Ashley returned to her first love, music, and began recording professionally again. Ashley’s original music is out now on all major streaming platforms. She is currently working on her first ep “God complex” out 11/1/24.
